From the iconic Sydney harbour to tropical Cairns in just 4 weeks, you will sail, snorkel, 4WD, hike and island vibe your way up the lush coastline. Stay in deluxe hostels, soak up the sun and make the most of Australia with your new mates!

Your destination highlights include Byron Bay, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Noosa, K’gari (Fraser Island), Airlie Beach, the Whitsundays, Magnetic Island, Mission Beach and Cairns. With an inclusive itinerary, focus less on the “how” and more on the “where” as you soak up the magic of Australia’s beaches, islands, reefs, forests and towns!

  • Overnight tours included like a sailing trip through the Whitsunday Islands and a K’gari 4WD camping safari!

Touch down in Sydney and hop on your complimentary hostel shuttle bus, peeping out the window to catch a glimpse of the Sydney Harbour Bridge! With a great combo of free time and group activities, get settled Down Under! Head out on guided walks to the famous Bondi Beach and Sydney’s best beaches to get your tan on, and enjoy a few drinks at your hostel bar with new mates!

With two days in this iconic destination where city and beach life meet, revel in an awesome nightlife scene AND pristine beaches! With plenty of free time in Surfers Paradise, hang out with new mates at the beach, hire a surfboard, chill out by the hostel pool, wander along the boardwalk and explore the CBD in this laid-back backpacker realm!

This sunshiney city has so much to offer, and one of the best ways to get around is on the “CityCat,” which is a public transport ferry that meanders up and down the river! Stop at Southbank and cool off at the Street’s Beach lagoon, before freshening up and heading to Howard Smith Wharves for a riverfront cocktail under the Story Bridge. The night is just getting started, so head into Fortitude Valley, aka the heart of Brisbane’s nightlife!

Day 11 - 15

Noosa & K’gari (Fraser Island)

Drive up to the dazzling Noosa, and unwind by tranquil beaches and fairy-lit streets! Next, you’re off to K’gari (Fraser Island), the world’s largest sand island and a gosh-dang tropical DREAM! Your 3-day, 2-night guided camping safari will deliver your group to the bright blue Lake Mackenzie, towering rainforests, stunning beaches, a charming shipwreck and the marvellous Champagne Pools! Spot dingoes, swim in gem-coloured lakes, hike through the forest and camp under the stars on this inclusive adventure. Then, return to the mainland and lap up some more sunshine in the gorgeous Noosa for one more night before continuing north.

Arrive at the backpacker hub of Airlie Beach and be greeted with oceanfront views and live music floating down main street! After a night in Airlie and a sleep at your deluxe hostel, wake up bright and early to board your sailing vessel! That’s right, you’re heading out to the calm, turquoise waters to discover the magical Whitsunday Islands. Stop at Whitehaven Beach to dig your toes into the whitest sand in the world, hike up to Hill Inlet Lookout for swirling views. Dive into the Great Barrier Reef and snorkel with turtles, enjoy a beer as the sun sets and unwind aboard a state-of-the-art backpacker boat! Head back into shore after 2-days and 2-nights of tropical bliss, for a night of partying the night away with your group. This is quintessential Airlie Beach mermaid living!

Stay at a tropical resort, where a pool and bar make relaxing SO easy! During your time in Mission Beach, you have the choice between two tours. The first option is a thrilling beach skydive from 15,000 ft! Tick that one off your bucket list! Or, opt for the white-water rafting option, where you will float down the gorgeous rainforest rapids of the Cairns tropical ecosystems.

Your ultimate destination and a total Aussie marvel, Cairns is renowned as the hub where reef and rainforest meet! Dive into the Great Barrier Reef’s colourful marinelife with a day trip to the Outer Reef. You will also be guided around lush Atherton Tablelands, where waterfalls, rock pools, hidden cascades and thick rainforest make for plenty of swimming, hiking and photo spots!
