Depart from Melbourne bright and early

Meet your driver/tour guide at one of the centrally located meeting points in the Melbourne CBD. Once you board the comfy, air-conditioned mini bus, you'll begin the journey out into the wilderness! Grampians National Park is one of Australia's most ancient mountain ranges, and it's a World Heritage Site. You'll get to spend the whole day marveling at the breathtaking natural beauty and wildlife that thrives out here. During the drive, your guide will point out flora, fauna, and natural landmarks.

Visit Halls Gap and Brambuk the National Park & Cultural Centre

Stop for lunch in the charming town of Halls Gap. Here you can check out the local shops and stretch your legs as you walk around the scenic area. Next you'll visit Brambuk the National Park & Cultural Centre. Here you can broaden your mind and gain a new appreciation for the history and culture of the area's Traditional Owners. The centre showcases the art, traditions, and stories of the local aboriginal communities, so this is a great place to learn about the cultural significance of the national park.

Hiking trails, scenic lookouts, and wildlife

Make sure your shoes are laced up tight and your cameras are ready to go! You'll get to visit some amazing lookouts and walking trails during your day tour of the Grampians. From strolling through the tranquil forest to gazing out over a vast valley from a lookout, there are going to be lots of amazing views. Check out rugged sandstone rock formations from Reeds & Boroka Lookout & The Balconies, and admire the wildflowers and native birdlife along the trails. You may even get to spot emus and kangaroos as you explore the wilderness!

Visit MacKenzie Falls and return to Melbourne

Another incredible natural landmark you'll see is MacKenzie Falls, accessible via a 160-step trail. This gorgeous cascade is well worth the trek! Alternative waterfalls you may visit depending on the weather include Silverband Falls or Beehive Falls. Once you've seen the best view of Grampians National Park, you'll start heading back to Melbourne with a dinner stop along the way. Arrive back at the centrally-located drop-off points and say farewell to your guide and new friends!
