Sunday 

Welcome to Brisbane

Arrive in Brisbane on your own accord and check into your central Brisbane accommodation in the afternoon. Take a leisurely meander down the vast Brisbane River to explore this colourful city, before a 5 pm meet-up with your group and guide at the hostel reception. Wander to Southbank with your new mates for a get-to-know-you dinner and drink at the many bars and eateries!

Day 2

Monday

Venture to Noosa

Enjoy a cruisy morning with a hostel breakfast, before a relaxed departure. You’re heading north to the Sunshine Coast today, so enjoy the short and scenic drive up. You'll stop in the Glasshouse Mountains for a view and Eumundi for lunch! Be welcomed to Noosa with a coastal drive along the headland, before checking into your stylish hostel with a pool and on-site bar! Indulge in a complimentary welcome drink, before hitting the bars & restaurants of the twinkle-light-lit Noosa!

Tuesday

The wonders of Noosa await!

Indulge in a totally free day today as you explore the magic of Noosa! Upgrade your day as you kayak through the local Everglades, soar over beaches with a skydive or hit the waves for a surf lesson with bookable tours. Or, hit the beach or pool and enjoy some utter relaxation time in coastal paradise! Check out the many free things to do on the coast, before hitting the town for dinner and drinks!

Wednesday & Thursday

K’gari (Fraser Island) 4WD camping adventure

Hit the road early on Wednesday towards Rainbow Beach where you will depart for your K’gari 3-day, 2-night adventure. Your inclusive tour will guide you through the lush forests and abundant natural wonders of the world’s largest sand island; K’gari! Swim in dazzling lakes, trek through ancient forests, discover historical shipwrecks and camp under the stars in a glamping tent! Friday

K’gari swims & arrive in Bundaberg

Wake up to the sound of rolling waves at your beach campsite, before an ocean-side breakfast and a walk through lush tropical rainforests. Then, dive in for a cooling swim and afterwards, a healthy lunch, before hopping on the barge back to the mainland. Depart from Rainbow Beach to Bundaberg, an iconic QLD town known for its rum and thriving local produce. Check in to your fancy and eco-conscious lodge accommodation, checking out the resort facilities, before an authentic Aussie BBQ dinner!

Saturday

Local Bundaberg favourites

Explore the charming and quirky tropical town of Bundaberg today with two awesome guided tours. Start out with a wildlife experience at the Mons Repos turtle centre, where you will rub shoulders with and learn about these beautiful creatures that mate on the eastern Australian mainland. Fuel up with some food from the onsite Indigenous cafe. Then, continue on to the iconic Bundaberg Rum distillery for a tasting and tour of this quintessential Aussie liquor. Or, if you can’t wait to get out on the water, book into a Lady Musgrave guided snorkel and enjoy a day on a boat in the reef!

Sunday

On the road to Airlie Beach

Today is a travel day, so sit back and relax on your smooth and spacious coach. Stock up on road snacks, download your favourite playlist and finally catch up on writing in that travel journal. Stop to stretch your legs and enjoy the scenery before arriving at Airlie Beach in the afternoon. Check out the bustling town centre and esplanade for a relaxed night of oceanfront cocktails and dinner!

Day 9 & 10

Monday & Tuesday

Two-night Whitsunday sailing experience

Enjoy a cruisy Airlie morning, with a delicious breakfast and perhaps a dip in the sparkling lagoon. Then, head to the marina to embark on your unforgettable multiday sailing experience. Board a magnificent and social vessel, your home for the next three days, with modern facilities and optimised island viewing spots. On your sailing adventure, you will dive into the Great Barrier Reef to snorkel, hike up to Hill Inlet Lookout, relax on Whitehaven Beach and enjoy plentiful water and island wonders! Atherton Tablelands, waterfalls and Cairns nightlife

Continue your journey north with an array of incredible stops today! Your first port of call is Millaa Millaa Falls, a local favourite in the Tablelands. Then stop at the gorgeous Lake Echam and the massive Curtain Fig Tree in Yungubura. Relax, take a dip and snap a few photos, before heading to the charming streets of Cairns. After dark, head out to the bustling streets of Cairns and enjoy the awesome nightlife scene!

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes, travel insurance is compulsory for the duration of this trip!

Is there a tour guide?

Yes, this is a fully guided tour. So your experienced local tour guide will be with you every step of the way!

Who will I travel with?

You will share your experience with a small group of fun, adventurous travellers ages 18 or over. These group tours are an excellent way to make friends in Australia!

Where will I stay?

This tour will have you staying in some seriously idyllic destinations across the East Coast. Your 14 nights of accommodation will be spent in a range of hostels, tours, backpacker resorts and eco-lodges. You will be in shared-dorm style accommodation.

Are meals included?

During the tour, 22 meals (12 breakfasts, 4 lunches & 6 dinners) are included in your itinerary. Other meals are at your own expense. 

What do I need to pack?

Are there any age restrictions?

This tour is designed for young at heart travellers over the age of 18. Whether you're a backpacker, couple, group of friends, or solo traveller, you can experience the best of the East Coast on this social tour!

What is the transport like?

All transport is included. You will travel in comfy coach buses along the East Coast.
