A taste of Brisbane

Your three-week adventure begins in the brilliant city of Brisbane (meanjin). Meet your group of wayward travellers, explore Southbank's refreshing lagoon, meander along the Brisbane River and start the trip off with a dance at the infamous Fortitude Valley!

Day 3 - 7

Noosa & K'gari (Fraser Island)

Dive into the ocean and breathe in tropical paradise as you head north to the Sunshine Coast! Rock up to your Noosa hostel, just a stone's throw away from tranquil beaches and surfy bars. Your next stop is the hidden gem of K'gari (Fraser Island). K'gari is the world's largest sand island that has abundant natural wonders, from beaches, lakes, rainforest and bushland. 4WD down golden sand tracks, swim in Lake Mackenzie, spot dingoes, hike through the rainforest and dive headfirst into adventure! Unwind beachside, with starlit conversations and authentic camping adorning your evenings. Then, head back to Noosa after three days on K'gari, hitting the Noosa National Park for a coastal walk and a dip in the gorgeous Fairy Pools... a local secret!

Wake up to the palm-tree-lined town of Airlie Beach; a backpacker haven and the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands. Go for a cocktail on the esplanade, take a dip in the lagoon and hit the town for some local live music! On day 9, board your sailing vessel, where the chilled-out vibes and island sunsets are on the horizon! Your next two days will be spent sailing around the gorgeous Whitsunday Islands, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, checking out the beach with the world's whitest sand, Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet Lookout! All food is included, so hit the beach, unwind and party under the stars!

Day 12 & 13

Magnetic Island vibin'

Continue your journey northbound and discover the sandy coves of Magnetic Island. Hop on the ferry from Townsville and check in to your awesome hostel with beach views. Your guide will take you on a stunning hike called Forts Walk, where you can spot marinelife like dolphins and whales! Spend your time beach-bumming it up in tranquil coves and checking out the local koala sanctuary.

Mission Beach thrills

In the charming beachside town of Mission Beach, you can spend your time in one of two heart-pumping ways! You can opt for an enthralling skydive, where you will soar over exquisite beaches and coastline. Or, head inland to the Tully Rainforest for an exciting river rafting experience - the choice is yours!

Day 16 - 20

Cairns, Great Barrier Reef & waterfalls

Your ultimate destination and a total tropical backpacker scene, arrive in Cairns with a tan and some awesome trips on the cards! Head out to the Great Barrier Reef on a day trip, don a snorkel and mask and dive into the depths of sparkling coral gardens. Spot fish, turtles, clams and even friendly reef sharks, enjoy lunch on the deck and hang out with your mates! Your second day trip will guide you through the lush Atherton Tablelands, where you will *literally* chase waterfalls, swim in fairy pools and cool off under cascades. Spend the rest of your days exploring Cairns, chilling out by the Lagoon and living your best tropical life. On your final night, dig into a group farewell dinner, swap Instagram handles and do one final 'cheers' with your new mates!
