FAQs

When is the best time to visit Thailand?

Thailand is quite hot all year round, so any time is a good time to visit! If you're hoping to avoid rain, you should note that there is a slightly higher chance of showers in October and November, though this is usually a welcome relief from the heat!

Can I chat to my group before I go?

Yes! Get in touch with our travel agents for access to the group chat to get to know your travel buddies before you head off!

Do I need to have travel insurance?

Travel insurance is compulsory for this trip and you will need to provide proof of your policy to your group leader upon arrival (on your phone or printed).

What if I'm travelling solo?

A lot of the people who join these trips are solo travellers, but become part of an adventurous, fun-loving group when they sign up. This is a great way to make new friends who have similar interests.

Is there Wi-Fi thoughout the trip?

All accommodation on this tour will have free Wi-Fi available. That being said, Thailand's network quality is typically a little bit lower than what you might be used to.

Who is this trip suited for?

This is a backpacker-style trip, perfect for those looking for a social and adventurous trip across Thailand. You will be staying in clean, hand-picked 2 to 3-star budget hotels and bungalows. There is a moderate level of fitness required for this trip due to activities like kayaking, walking, boxing and the likes.

If you are pregnant, injured or have a disability, please get in touch with our travel agents so we can consider whether this is the best experience for you.

Do I need to complete a waiver?

Yes. All travellers must complete this medical form and participation waiver prior to travel, as soon as possible after booking.

Can you cater for vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and allergies?

Due to the nature of this tour (frequenting street markets and local restaurants), strict gluten-free, vegan and allergen diets can be difficult to cater for. However, delicious vegetarian cuisine is abundant in Thailand, and your group leader will do their best to provide suitable options for you. Please let us know if you have any dietaries before the trip begins.

Where will I be staying?

You will be staying in 2 to 3-star hotels, guesthouses and bungalows, in shared rooms. Let us know if you're travelling with friends or a partner so you can bunk together!

When should I plan to arrive in Bangkok?

It’s best to arrive on the actual start date of your trip, as there are no activities on the first day other than the welcome dinner in the evening. Please chat to us if you would like to extend your trip and arrive before the tour begins for some solo travel time!

It's also recommended that you have your travel out of Thailand booked before you arrive, as you may be asked for proof of this before boarding your flight to Thailand.
