Visit some of the best snorkeling locations in the Whitsundays and spend lots of time frolicking with the marine life underwater. You’ll also visit the world-famous Whitehaven Beach and hike to Hill Inlet Lookout for exquisite views. Have a blast exploring the fringing reefs and tropical islands alongside 25 other fun travelers and your experienced local crew!
Board ApolloApollo is one of the most revered maxi yachts in the Whitsundays! At 75 feet long, this massive vessel has all the space and amenities you could need for a few days at sea. Apollo has competed in and won numerous sailing races around the world, so you’ll be able to cover lots of ground during your tour. You can even give the crew a helping hand and try some sailing! In the saloon, the ship has seating areas, two bathrooms, cozy bunks, and plenty of space for relaxing. |
Stonehaven BayThe first stop will be Stonehaven Bay, a calm and wildlife-rich area of the Whitsunday Islands. Sail past the stunning sandbar known as Langford Reef and admire the lush, mountainous tropical islands that surround you. The crew will pick the day’s snorkeling spots based on the tides and weather, but you will have plenty of time to explore the underwater world! Watch in awe as the vibrant corals, tropical fish, colorful clams, and other marine creatures like turtles or sharks coexist peacefully amongst the reefs. |
Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet LookoutAfter spending the night in Stonehaven Bay, set sail for Tongue Bay. This calm inlet off Whitsunday Island is where you’ll anchor and hop into the dinghy so you can zip over to Whitehaven Beach! Swim in the pristine turquoise waters, sunbathe on the white silica sand, and embark on a short bushwalk through the forest up to Hill Inlet Lookout. This is one of the best beaches in the world, so cherish every second here! |
More Snorkeling and Nara InletOn your third and final day in the Whitsundays, the fun continues! The crew will lead you to another incredible snorkeling spot, which will again depend on the tides and weather. If there is time and the conditions are right, you may also stop at Nara Inlet on Hook Island. This peaceful anchoring spot is where you can begin a bushwalk to Ngaro Caves, which showcases ancient indigenous rock paintings from the Whitsundays’ Traditional Owners, the Ngaro People. Then you’ll sail back to Airlie Beach and conclude this amazing trip. |
