Depart from Brisbane

Around 8am, you'll meet the driver and board the bus so you can travel to the Australia Zoo! Exact pick-up times may vary based on traffic, but you'll soon be on the road in a comfortable, air-conditioned coach bus. Enjoy a beautiful drive through the vast greenery of the Glasshouse Mountains and you head towards the Sunshine Coast. Arrive at Australia Zoo around 10am.

You've made it to the most famous zoo in all of Australia! Also known as the "Home of the Crocodile Hunter", the Australia Zoo was founded by Steve Irwin and his family. Though Steve has passed away, this beloved establishment keeps his passion for wildlife alive and well. Australians and international travellers from all over the world flock to the Australia Zoo to learn about animals, conservation, and the importance of protecting Australia's natural world.

Explore this iconic Aussie attraction

You'll have around 6 hours to make the most of your time at the Australia Zoo. Daily wildlife presentations are available so you can learn from the experts! Visit the Crocosem to watch crocodiles, snakes, and birds in action. See big cats roam around the Tiger Temple, or visit the only multi-species Africa exhibit in Queensland. Grab some lunch at the Crikey Cafe, admire famous Aussie marsupials, and just have a blast attending all the fascinating presentations. After spending the day however you choose, you'll depart at 4pm and be back in Brisbane by 5:30pm.
