Depart from Gold Coast

It's an early start today as you get picked up from the Gold Coast around 7am! Board the spacious, air-conditioned bus and head north towards the Sunshine Coast. Though you may be tempted to snooze on the drive, you'll be driving through the lovely Glasshouse Mountains so try to admire the scenery while you can! At 10am, arrive at Australia Zoo and get ready for an amazing day.

Arrive at the famous Australia Zoo

Australia Zoo is a world-famous and beloved attraction founded by Steve Irwin and his family. Also known as "The Home of the Crocodile Hunter", the zoo is where the late Steve Irwin's dedication and passion for wildlife continue to thrive. Here you can see over 1,200 animals, learn about the importance of education and conservation, and see the world's busiest animal hospital in action. There is no better place to learn about, appreciate, and admire wildlife than the Australia Zoo!

Attend wildlife presentations at your leisure

Every day, fascinating wildlife presentations are performed by experts. You'll have about 6 hours of free time to explore the Australia Zoo and attend all the shows and animal encounters you want to. See reptiles and birds in action at the Crocosem, visit the only multi-species Africa exhibit in Queensland, and check out the majestic big cats at the Tiger Temple. See koalas and kangaroos, shop for souvenirs, and grab some lunch at the Crikey Cafe. At 4pm you'll leave the zoo and be back on the Gold Coast by 7pm.
