Take a drive to Double Island Point on the Sunshine Coast often completely bypassed by oblivious travellers. Learn to surf waves that stretch on for hundreds of metres long - whether you're a beginner or a pro!
From this secluded beach, only accessible by 4WD, keep your eyes peeled for all sorts of marine life, from dolphins and sea turtles, as you take advantage of the open waves, and maybe even try your hand at the longest wave in Australia!

Get Collected In A 4WD
Meet at your designated pick-up point 15 minutes before your tour. Tour times change each day depending on local tides so be sure to double-check. Don’t forget to bring your surfboards and any other personal surf equipment you might like to use. If you don’t have a surfboard, one can be provided - just be sure to let the Epic Ocean Adventure team know as early as possible so they can pack one for you. Set off in a specialised 4WD vehicle from your designated pick-up point and depart Noosa! |

Journey Down Great Beach DriveAfter a quick stop on the Noosa North Shore ferry, enjoy a gorgeous scenic drive along Teewah Beach. Pass iconic East Coast destinations like Rainbow Beach and K’gari (Fraser Island) before eventually arriving at Double Island Point. |

Since this beach is so secluded, you’ll get plenty of time and space to get the hang of things in these warm, crystal-clear waters. When you’re ready, try and catch one of these exceptionally long waves! After you’ve finished, you’ll get to enjoy some light snacks & refreshments provided by the crew. |

Return Along Great Beach Drive
After some fun in the sun, it’ll be time to pack up and head back to Noosa along the Great Beach Drive. Take in the views once more as the sun begins to set for the evening. |

How long does this tour last?
The Double Island Surf or Play Adventure takes up approximately 6 hours of a day. Departure and return times depend on the tide times on a given day.
Is food included on this tour?
Epic Ocean Adventures will provide light snacks and water on this tour, but feel free to bring your own snacks or something more filling.
Do I have to bring my own surf equipment?
Bring your own surf equipment, including board and wetsuit, if you have it. However, if you don't have any, a suit and board can be provided for you. Just be sure to let organisers know in advance. You can choose from large soft boards, medium soft boards, or long boards.
Where does this tour leave from?
This tour departs Noosa from one of three pick-up points:
NOOSA HEADS: The J Noosa (Theatre venue) 60 Noosa Drive, Noosa Heads
NOOSA HEADS: Noosa Heads Bus Station, Corner Noosa Parade & Noosa Drive
NOOSAVILLE: 12 Robert St, Noosaville
When you book your tour you will choose a pick-up location. Please meet 15 minutes before departure at your pick-up point. Departure times vary daily based on tide times to access Double Point along the Great Beach Drive.
What animals might I see on this tour?
There is a lot of marine life to be found in the water at Double Island Point. Turtles and dolphins often feed and play in the shallows of the surf break, and during whale season, you'll likely see humpbacks go past.
