Pick Up In Noosa

Start your day by meeting at one of the designated pick-up locations in Noosa. Departure times will vary depending on the tides that day, so be sure to reconfirm your tour times in advance! You'll meet the friendly team at Epic Ocean Adventures and board the sturdy 4WD vehicle to begin the drive to Double Island Point!

Drive to Double Island Point

Enjoy every moment of your drive to Double Island Point because it's one of the most scenic routes in Australia! After crossing the Noosa North Shore Ferry, your driver will take you across Teewah Beach. Your 4WD beach adventure is complemented by rugged cliffs, turquoise waters, and overall gorgeous views. Arrive at Double Island Point and prepare for your surf lesson.

Learn to surf from the experts

Now it's time to learn how to surf! Your friendly and knowledgeable surf instructors will give a demonstration on the beach so you can get acquainted with the board. Then you'll head out to the waves and try surfing in the ocean. Double Island Point has shallow waters and beginner-friendly waves, and your guides will be there to assist and ensure you feel safe. If you're lucky you'll catch one of the iconic, 1km long waves that the area is famous for!

Return to Noosa

After your epic surf lesson, have some free time to relax on the golden sand, enjoy some snacks, and look for dolphins playing in the waves. Then you'll pack up, hop back into the 4WD, and embark on another majestic drive along the beach as you return to Noosa.

1. NOOSA HEADS: The J Noosa (Theatre venue) 60 Noosa Drive, Noosa Heads (Best all day free parking option)

2. NOOSA HEADS: Noosa Heads Bus Station, Corner Noosa Parade & Noosa Drive (Near Hastings St, limited parking).

3. NOOSAVILLE: Coral Beach Resort Noosa (12 Robert St, Noosaville - wait in front of the resort)

Please meet at your pick-up location 15 minutes before departure.

How long is the tour?

The entire duration of the tour from pick-up to drop-off is around 6 hours. 

What time does the tour depart?

Departure times vary each day based on the conditions. Double Island Point has the best surfing waves at low tide and that's when beach access is best, so the crew will pick the best time for the tour on the day. 

Is equipment provided?

Yes, beginner surfboards and wetsuits or sunshirts are provided.

Are there any snacks?

Light snacks and refreshments are provided, but you are welcome to bring more of your own snacks or food if you wish.

What is the transport like?

You'll be driving in specialised, 4x4 vehicles! Surfboards will be strapped to the top, and there are spacious windows so you can admire the views.

I've never surfed before, is that ok?

Of course! This tour is designed for beginner surfers, even those who have never touched a surfboard before. Double Island Point has shallow waters and beginner-friendly waves, and the instructors are highly trained to ensure you feel comfortable in the surf.

Are pick-ups in Noosa provided?

There are 3 pick-up locations in Noosa, and you must make your own way to one of these places for pick up. If you're unsure which pick up location to visit, contact our team to confirm!
