Whitehaven Beach & Hill Inlet LookoutNo visit to the Whitsundays is complete without visiting Whitehaven Beach! This island paradise is famous for its silky white silica sand and its refreshing turquoise water. Whether you're a certified diver or you're a newbie who wants to learn, Summer Jo has excellent instructors and dive equipment so you can explore even further under the surface. Dives cost extra and you can pay for them onboard. There is even an opportunity to try night diving, where you can gain a new perspective of the marine life activity in the Whitsundays. After 2 days and 2 nights of fun, return to Airlie Beach! |

FAQs
What is the minimum age for Summer Jo?
The minimum age is 12 years.
Can my dietary requirements be catered for?
Yes, if you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know at the time of booking. Please note there will be an additional fee of $15 per person per night to cover extra costs.
Can I bring my own alcohol on board?
Yes, you are permitted to bring your own alcohol on board. However, no glass or red wine is permitted on board.
Do we visit the Outer Reef?
The 2-day tour does not visit the Outer Reef as there isn't enough time! You will snorkel at fringing reef sites around the islands. If you want a chance to visit the Outer Reef, book the 3-day Summer Jo tour!
Is snorkelling and diving gear provided?
Yes, snorkelling and diving equipment will be provided on board for your use.
How big is the dive group?
There is a maximum of 4 divers per Scuba Instructor for intro dives. For certified divers, there can be up to 8 divers with each Dive Master.

Had a wonderful 2 days on Summer Jo. Cabins ideal, and the individual air conditioning units in each cabin are a welcome bonus. Up to 5 dives are offered - my husband did 3 including a night dive, and he said the dive team - Baylee, Jacob and Charlotte - were proficient, knowledgeable and safety conscious. The crew are professional first and foremost, but engaging, fun and caring people. They seemed to genuinely care that everyone was having the best time. We loved our time on there and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

I had such a good experience on the boat, the staff was amazing, the boat is really big and very cozy inside. There’s a lot of space to sit outside with hammocks, bean bags, … The Rooms are quite big as well and every room has their own shower/ toilet. Even tho the weather wasn’t the best the crew made the best out of it. Food was AMAZING big thanks for the chef. Diving was great, we some some turtles and Lou was a great dive master! Would definitely recommend to a friend

The crew were amazing. We had originally booked a 3 night trip that visited the outer reef and it was changed. I didn’t realize the boat held 33 guests. It was largely back packers. The young people were great but it did make for crowded conditions. In all we had a good experience.

Great trip and the crew really tried to make the trip work for the group. They do take you to Whitehaven beach & some great snorkel spots. The air con in each cabin also makes a huge difference. Definitely recommend to others

Summer Jo Crew: Paul: Captain Beccs Bay-Lee Lulu Jakey Ekky Lya - Chef The 3D3N SV Sommer Jo Tour was absolutely the Highlight of our Trip! I think the Trip could Not be better planned on the boat. Let‘s Start with the really delicious food on board: „Snacks“ - Fresh fruit - Home made Banana Bread - Home made Brownies - Fresh Humus (made from the beautiful Chef on board) with Vegetable and cracker - Cheese and sausage from Australia Served Like small buffet with crackers The main dishes were also amazing. Great ideas from Lya Like: - Chili con carne with nachos, guacamole, Salsa, sour cream - noodles with nice sauces and always fresh salad - Wraps - The great BBQ on the last evening The Crew was always here for questions. Trust me, you will Not See them in a Bad mood, they are happy face, because they love what they do on the boat for the people. Definitely try the scuba diving, it will be worth it, it was our first time diving, you will be amazed. You will be Safe all the time, with very Professional and trustworthy dive guides!
