Your expert BridgeClimb tour guide will brief you on everything you need to know in preparation for your exciting ascent. Store your personal belongings and gear up with all the safety equipment you'll require depending on the weather conditions on the day. As you form a single line, one-by-one you'll clip in securely, ready to climb!

You did it! You navigated ladders, narrow pathways and platforms, not to mention hundreds of steps in order to reach the top. It's here your guide will take the time to snap photos of you standing at the summit of the Harbour Bridge with the Opera House in the background. Make your descent back down to Climb Base

Follow your guide across to the west-side of the bridge and begin the walk back down to the summit base. Depending on the time of your climb, you could be watching the sun rising in the east, setting in the west, or delight in seeing the glittering city lights come to life a night. Check out your amazing photos from the climb, collect your certificate of achievement and take home proof of conquering one of the best climb's in Australia!

Important Information

  • To complete the Climb you will need a reasonable level of fitness and strength, full body control and hand-eye-foot co-ordination and the ability to climb independently (unsupported by walking aids).
  • Every participant must complete a BridgeClimb Declaration Form before climbing. This will be provided to you on the day.
  • The following may impact your ability to climb safely: If you are pregnant; If you are 75 years of age or over; All heart conditions (including low or high blood pressure); All respiratory conditions; Back, limb or joint injuries; Missing limbs or part thereof, inclusive of prosthetics; Vertigo, dizziness or loss of balance; Visual impairment (except wearing prescription glasses or contact lenses), and learning difficulties.
  • BridgeClimb experiences include: Climbing high ladders and catwalks; Prolonged stair climbing; Uneven surfaces and narrow passageways; Exposure to all weather conditions.
  • Pparticipants less than 24 weeks pregnant are required to consult a medical practitioner before climbing and must ask the medical practitioner to sign a BridgeClimb Certificate of Fitness Form. If you are over 24 weeks pregnant you cannot climb.
  • Participants 75 years of age and over are required to consult a medical practitioner before climbing and must ask the medical practitioner to sign a BridgeClimb Certificate of Fitness Form.
  • At BridgeClimb's discretion, essential medication may be taken on the Climb (For example, asthma inhalers or diabetic medication). Please speak with a BridgeClimb Team Member on the day.
  • If you believe your health and safety, or that of other participants, may be put at risk by you taking part, you should not join the Climb. If you have concerns about your ability to participate safely, please consult your treating doctor. We recommend that all customers with any concerns read BridgeClimb's Certificate of Fitness Form prior to Climbing.
  • Please be aware that even if you have made a reservation, BridgeClimb reserves the right to decline participation or modify your chosen climbing experience. The health and safety conditions of climbing are subject to change at BridgeClimb's discretion.
  • The minimum age to Climb is 8 years old and the minimum height is 1.2 metres. One adult can accompany up to 3 children (8-15 years old).
  • You must have a blood alcohol reading below 0.05 to climb. Everyone is breathalysed by our staff and anyone over the limit cannot continue.
  • Please bring with you any prescription glasses (if needed) and comfortable enclosed shoes to wear on the Climb. We will equip you with all the outdoor gear you’ll need to climb based on the day’s weather conditions.
  • For safety, you cannot carry anything with you up on the Bridge. This includes cameras, video cameras, Go Pros or mobile phones. We provide lockers to keep your personal belongings in. Your Climb Leader will capture photos of you during your Climb.
