Day 1

Sunday 

Soak up the Brisbane & Gold Coast sunshine! 

Meet your guide & group at 8:30 am in Byron Bay, before hopping on your bus en route to Brisbane. Then continue on to Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast for an explore and a bite to eat. Stop at a hidden nature reserve to hang out with the local kangaroos. Then continue to Brisbane, where a night of city exploring and hanging out with mates is yours!

Day 2

Monday

Say g'day to the sunny Sunshine Coast

Enjoy a leisurely morning with a complimentary breakfast before hitting the road heading north! Make a stop at the idyllic Glasshouse Mountains and Eumundi, where quirky townships with hinterland vibes await! Then arrive in Noosa for a delicious beachside lunch and a coastal walk. Check in to your Sunshine Beach accommodation, take a dip in the pool and enjoy a cocktail with your group as you settle into this cruisy beach town!

Tuesday

Noosa is your oyster!

The day is all yours as you enjoy a free day in Noosa! With an abundance of free and dazzling sights to see, have a beach or pool day, go on a coastal walk, enjoy a local lazy lunch, window shop at Hastings St, rest and relax! Or, add on an additional tour to your day, with options to have a surf lesson, enjoy a kayak through the Noosa Everglades or a skydive!

Day 4 & 5

Wednesday & Thursday 

K’gari (Fraser Island) Island 4WD Camping Adventure

Rise early today and head to the world’s largest sand island, K’gari. Your three-day, two-night camping adventure holds an array of wonders! Get around the island with a 4WD, as you venture to gems such as Lake Boorangoora (Mackenzie), Maheno Shipwreck, towering rainforests, and secluded beaches and immerse yourself in the slow, stunning and mesmerising island life. All meals are included, so you can focus on the adventuring while being nourished by wholesome, delicious meals! Retire each night to your starlit safari campsite, where a decked-out tent awaits with a comfy mattress and hotel-quality linens… on the beach. This is glamping!

Friday

K’gari to Bundaberg

Venture inland for one last hike and a refreshing swim before your drive and barge back to Rainbow Beach. Once back on the mainland, you’re en route to Bundaberg, renowned for its sugarcane, “Bundy” rum and ginger beer. Check into your eco-resort, set in a nature reserve with luxury facilities. Enjoy a group BBQ dinner and a relaxed evening with your mates!

Saturday

Livin’ it up in Bundaberg… naturally! 

Hit the town of Bundaberg today with an awesome selection of local tours lined up. After breakfast at your divine dwellings, your guide will take you to the Mons Repos Turtle Centre for a half-day experience with these local cuties. Grab some lunch at the Indigenous-inspired on-site cafe, before continuing to the iconic Bundaberg Rum Centre for a tasting and tour of the distillery. Or, if you just can’t wait to get into the Great Barrier Reef, your guide can book you into a Lady Musgrave Snorkelling tour, where you will enjoy island walks, delicious food, boat cruising and snorkelling galore!

Sunday

Travel from Bundaberg to Airlie Beach

A chill day of travel today will allow you to relax, kick back and check out all the awesome photos you’ve taken so far! Pop your headphones in, blast the tunes or chat to your bus-seat neighbour. Arrive in Airlie Beach, the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands, in the evening.

Monday & Tuesday

Set Sail For The Whitsunday Islands!

Discover the dazzling world of the Whitsunday Islands as you embark for tropical bliss! Your two-day, two-night epic sailing adventure will take you to Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet Lookout, Whitsunday Island, the Great Barrier Reef and hidden snorkel spots as you relax and play in amongst stunning world wonders. Wednesday

Airlie Beach by the sun, Magnetic Island by the moon

Revel in one last morning of sailing out amongst the glorious Whitsunday Islands for one last morning, with a final swim or snorkel, before a smooth trip back to the mainland. You're northbound and back on the bus for a short spell, before taking the ferry across to the palm-tree-adorned Magnetic Island! Renowned for it's lush National Park and koala population, relax in your social accommodation and grab a drink at the backpacker bar!

Day 12

Thursday 

Magnetic Island vibin'

It's all beaches, swims and sunshine with some laid-back exploring today! Your guide will take you on the Forts Complex walk, a historic and natural delve into the wonders of Maggie. The view at the top, one of sprawling coastline, is a gem not to be missed. Unwind by the ocean and keep your eyes out for koalas that populate the trees all over this protected beautiful island.

Friday

Discover the charming Atherton Tablelands

Depart Magnetic Island via the ferry and head north towards Cairns. Your first stop will be the famous and stunning Milla Milla Falls, for a delightful swim and forest fairy-style exploration… the perfect cruisy day you need to connect with nature. Then, head towards Lake Echam and the giant Curtain Fig Tree in Yunguburra. Check in to your local hostel, before a social BBQ dinner. After dinner, experience the lively night scene of Cairns with your mates, or head to bed for an early one... whatever you choose!

Cairns free day!

Whether you’re nursing a hangover and need a chill morning or are jumping into the wonders of this teeming region, enjoy a free day in Cairns at your own pace! Check out the many local free gems, including the Cairns lagoon and local beaches, taking in the awesome backpacker vibes as you go. Or, book into one of the many additional tours in Cairns! Dive into a scuba experience of the Great Barrier Reef or explore Cape Tribulation, making the most of your time in far-north paradise!

Yes, this is a fully guided tour! A knowledgeable guide will lead the entire trip.

Who will I travel with?

These group tours generally consist of fun, adventurous travellers! Everyone is ages 18 or over and it's a great way to make friends in Australia. 

What is the accommodation like?

This tour includes 14 nights of accommodation in various hostels, overnight tours, backpacker resorts and eco-lodges. You will be in shared-dorm style accommodation.

What is the transport like?

Comfortable coach bus travel is included throughout the tour!

Are meals included?

Yes, some meals are included! 22 meals (12 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 6 dinners) are included in your itinerary. The remaining meals are up to you, with ample cafe, restaurant, bar and supermarket options readily available along the way.

This trip is perfect for anybody with a taste for adventure aged 18 and up.
